Peace Bible Verses

Peace Bible Verses. At a time when the entire world is inundated with the coronarivirus, COV-19, how do we find peace? The Bible has much to say on the subject of peace and it becomes very clear that true peace is a gift from God.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed upon You, because he trusts in You.

Isaiah 26:3, NKJV

Peace Bible Verses. At a time when the entire world is inundated with the coronarivirus, COV-19, how do we find peace? (This series was begun in May of 2020 when COVI-19 was rampant in the United States and much of the world.) The Bible has much to say on the subject of peace and it becomes very clear that true peace is a gift from God.

Peace Bible Verses - Introduction

In the New King James Bible, there are 397 verses on the word "peace." Of course there are several different meanings of the word. For example peace is often used in reference to a type of offerings that the Israelites were to bring to the Lord. Other times peace is used to express ones' opinion on a matter as in the example, "He held his peace." Many times it is used as a greeting or salutation as in, "God grant you peace."

The purpose in this series of devotions is to understand from a Biblical perspective the meaning of peace and how to obtain it. Do not panic, I am not going to include 397 devotions in this series. The devotions will be grouped in the order they appear in our Bibles, and only those that apply to our purpose will be used.

You will note that there are references from both the Old and New Testaments, so this is not a subject that is confined to just a few Bible books or even from a single period of time. Also, many of the ideas are duplicated again and again. This is important to realize as this is not an isolated or obscure subject. Rather, it is a broad subject. As believers in Christ, and even for non-believers, understanding the nature of true peace and how to obtain it should revolutionize our thinking. Truly, those in the world do not understand what it is to have true peace.

As there is already a series of devotions on this website called, Spiritual Peace, those verses will not be duplicated again in this study.

We will soon understand that from a Biblical perspective that peace not only comes from God, but it is available to every true believer.

God Bless You,

Linda
