Prayers of Daniel

Prayers of Daniel answers a very important question. Have you ever considered that a delay in answers to your prayers may be due to Spiritual battles between the angels and demons?

8Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

9Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. 10And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.11And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

12Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

13But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.14Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.Daniel 10:8-14, NKJV

Daniel 10 is one of the most fascinating chapters in the Bible giving us an example of the answered prayers of Daniel. If you have the time, read the entire chapter as the portion listed above hardly does this subject justice.

Have you ever considered that a delay in answers to your prayers, like the prayers of Daniel, may be due to Spiritual battles between the angels and demons? In Daniel 10, that is exactly what happened to Daniel. For three weeks he was troubled, trying to understand the meaning of the truths God had revealed to him regarding the end times. As soon as Daniel began to ponder these truths, an angel was dispensed to come to him.

However, the prince (evil angel) of the kingdom of Persian stood in the angel's way for 21 days! Finally, Michael, the Archangel, came to help him so that he was finally able to come to Daniel.

We are so connected with this life around us that we often forget that there is a larger spirit realm all around us doing battle. The evil angels (demons) are bent upon stopping the spread of Christianity and discouraging the believers. God's angels are continually coming to our aid even though we are not aware of their presence. Yes, it is true, we do have a Guardian Angel!

Notice, too, Daniel's reaction to the coming of the angel. And when he (the angel) had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. God is a holy and righteous God before whom we are not even able to stand; even his angels cause us to tremble. God is not just the man upstairs. Do not degrade God in your actions or words; come bowing before Him in sobriety and humility. Worship and honor Him because He alone is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Remember the answered prayers of Daniel; be patient when God does not answer your prayers immediately because there is a continuing spiritual battle all around you between God's angels and the Devil's demons.
