Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? 2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. 8 The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore. Psalm 121
How does the Lord watch over His people? He won't even allow your foot to be moved, and He never sleeps. We have God's help 24/7. Is this protection only from our enemies around us? No, God is our keeper and He shades us so that we are protected even from the forces of nature. The sun will not smite us by day nor the moon by night. KJV What others ways does God help us? He directs our paths and keeps us from evil; He keeps us when going out or coming in. How long? Even forevermore! Why do we go to the Lord for help? We go to the Lord because He is our Keeper, in all areas of life and forevermore. Praise God! Pray today that, as was expressed in Psalm 121, you will be comforted by the knowledge that, as a child of God, He will keep you wherever you go, wherever you are, from now and forevermore.
